Comet destroyed in brush with sun

Comet ISON, once optimistically called the comet of the century, is dead, the victim of a way-too-close brush with the sun. It was barely a year old. The comet, which zipped within 730,000 miles of the sun on Thanksgiving Day, was pronounced dead at a scientific conference Tuesday.

Boy, 6, suspended for kissing girl

The suspension of a 6-year-old boy for kissing a girl at school is raising questions about whether the peck should be considered sexual harassment. The boy's mother said officials at Lincoln School of Science and Technology in Canon City, Colo., are over-reacting. Jennifer Saunders was surprised to find out that he would be forced out of school for several days. First-grader Hunter Yelton told KRDO-TV that he has a crush on a girl at school and that she likes him back.
