Mutt March is scheduled for Saturday
Visit Dunedin's Highlander Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday to participate in the sixth annual Mutt March. The charity event will feature a parade, pet contests, food and pet-themed vendors, doggie adoptions, children's activities and more. I.H.O.P will sponsor a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast for cyclists before they depart on a "Ride 4 the Animals." Event parking is $3. All proceeds go to the Suncoast Animal League in Palm Harbor. Outdoor art show is today at park
The Creative Artists Guild of Dunedin will exhibit its members' work at an outdoor art show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. It's free at Pioneer Park at Main Street and Douglas Avenue.

Volunteers sought for tournament
Clearwater is looking for volunteers to help with the largest NCAA Division 1 Fast Pitch softball tournament series in the country. The tournaments will kick off with the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Leadoff Classic on Feb. 24. The USF Series will take place the next three weekends at the Eddie C. Moore Complex, 3050 Drew St.

Presentation at library will be free
The Countryside Library, 2741 State Road 580 at Countryside Boulevard, will host the St. Petersburg Museum's performing artist-in-residence, Nan Colton, for "A Chat with Mina Edison" on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 2:30 p.m. The presentation is free to the public. In period costume and with minimal set pieces, Colton will capture the personality and life of famed inventor Thomas Edison's second wife, whom he married following the death of his first wife, Mary, in 1884. The public is invited to step into the Edison home for a 45-minute chat with the woman who dedicated her life to helping her husband help the world.

Enjoy wine, treats at Valentine Tea
During the seventh-annual Valentine Tea, the merchants in the Tarpon Springs Historic Downtown area invite visitors to enjoy tea, wine and assorted goodies at each store along Tarpon Avenue, between S Pinellas Avenue (Alt. U.S. 19) and Ring Street. Look for balloons at participating stores. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
