The Brandon Bar Association will continue its series of monthly legal workshops Tuesday with "Car Insurance: What You Need Under Florida's No-Fault System." Registration for Little League ends soon
South Brandon Little League is wrapping up registration for its fall season, which is instructional and noncompetitive. Remaining sign-up times are from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the baseball park, 800 S Parsons Ave. The cost is $100 per child. Additional siblings will receive a $10 discount.

TOPSoccer sign-up begins next week
Registration for Brandon TOPSoccer, a free program for kids with special needs, begins next week at the J.C. Handley Soccer Complex on South Kings Avenue. The soccer league is open to children ages 5 and older as of Sept. 25. Sign-ups are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 10 and 17 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 11, 18 and 25. A copy of an Individualized Education Program and birth certificate must be provided. The league plays games on Saturday mornings from Sept. 25 through Nov. 20. Hygiene items needed for the Spring shelter
Music Showcase is collecting personal hygiene items for the Spring of Tampa Bay throughout September. Desired items include shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and hand sanitizer. The Spring is a domestic violence shelter. School fairs to detail tutoring program
Hillsborough County Public Schools will hold 'provider fairs' at several schools for Supplemental Educational Services, a free tutoring program. Students who are eligible for free and reduced-price lunch and attend an eligible Title I school (check with your child's school) can use SES. Fair dates and locations are: Saturday, Lennard High, 2342 E Shell Point Road, Ruskin; Sept. 11, Jefferson High, 4401 W Cypress St., Tampa; and Sept. 18, Middleton High, 4801 N 22nd St., Tampa. All are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Workshop offers tips on disciplining kids
A workshop to help parents handle challenging behaviors of kids 5 and under begins Tuesday at the Hawk Park Clubhouse in FishHawk Ranch. Positive Discipline for Preschoolers will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday for four weeks. Discussions will include responding to behavioral problems with encouragement, kindness and firmness.
