Emeril Lagasse show visits Sam's Beach Bar, Salt Rock Grill

HUDSON — This week's episode of Emeril's Florida airing at 2:30 p.m. Sunday on the Cooking Channel, features a visit by celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse to Sam's Beach Bar in Hudson.

In the episode, titled "Some West Coast Beach & Waterfront Favorites," Lagasse also makes stops at Salt Rock Grill in Indian Shores and R Beach in Hernando County.

At Sam's Beach Bar, Lagasse sits right on the gulf with owner Sara De La Osa. This longstanding restaurant has the best view for miles and Lagasse tries a variety of their signature dishes, according to a press release.

"This episode features some of Florida's freshest flavors straight from local fisherman and farmers on the West Coast," Carol Dover, president and CEO of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, said in the release. "Not only does this episode inform viewers about the hottest spots in the Sunshine State, it entertains them with Emeril in his element, cooking Florida seafood."

The show airs again at 9:30 a.m. Monday, and 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Check local listings.
