Events to help employees of Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant

Two fundraising events are planned this weekend to benefit the employees of Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant, east of Brooksville, which recently was destroyed by fire.

• Providence Church and friends of Papa Joe's Italian Restaurant will host a fish fry/hot dog fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the baseball pavilion at Anderson Snow Park, 1360 Anderson Snow Road, Spring Hill. The cost is $6 for a fried fish dinner, including hush puppies, a side and a drink. Hot dog dinners are $4. For information, call (352) 650-1985.

• Dinners will be sold from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Spring Lake United Methodist Church, 4191 Spring Lake Highway. The menu will include a choice of chili or beans and ham, served with corn bread and a drink. Donations will be accepted. For information, call Aline Bryant at (352) 428-3707.
