Fashion show marks 25 years

"Star Power," the annual celebrity fashion show presented by the Pinellas Auxiliary of the Children's Home, celebrates its 25th anniversary Friday at a luncheon event in the Palm Court Ballroom of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. 'Gala Under the Stars' with 'Rent'

American Stage's 2011 "Gala Under the Stars" gets started at 6 p.m. Friday in the park at Demens Landing, Second Street N and First Avenue, St. Petersburg. The outdoor event features cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions, and a performance of Rent. $125. (727) 823-1600.

Angels Against Abuse gala is set

Some sparkle for Creative Clay

St. Petersburg's Creative Clay will be the beneficiary of "Fireworks at the Farleys'," a fundraiser featuring food, music and a fireworks finale, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at 5030 Sunrise Drive SE. $100 in advance, or $125 the day of the event.

A little rhythm for Heart Gallery

A concert featuring Buffalo Strange, food, drinks and a silent auction will be the highlights of "Rhythm of the Heart," a benefit for the Heart Gallery of Pinellas & Pasco, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at Earthscapes Garden Room, 816 Alt. 19, Palm Harbor. Equality Florida Pinellas gala set

Gala marks 80 years for hospital

The annual St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation Medallion Gala will celebrate the hospital's 80th anniversary and the completion of its new emergency center beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Palm Court Ballroom at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort, 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg. Lighthouse offers savory samples
