Fundraiser set for injured Hudson teen

HUDSON — Sarah Klein-Malarik was a 16-year-old Hudson High School student and athlete in 2004 when she was severely injured in a car accident while leaving the campus. Since then, her family has struggled financially. Trainers at Family Fitness in Hudson, where Sarah exercises with her mother, Dawn, hope to ease their struggle a bit through a fund-raising campaign.

Local merchants have donated prizes for a raffle. Tickets are on sale through Friday at the fitness center, 8846 State Road 52, and winners will be notified by phone.

Patronize Zim Zari restaurant in Trinity on Monday, April 7 and Kickin Wings in Hudson on Saturday, April 12 and a percentage of the bill will be donated to Sarah.
