Gulfside hospice offers seminar on end-of-life care, planning

Seminar's focus is on end-of-life care, planning

Gulfside Regional Hospice offers a free seminar about end-of-life decisions and advanced care planning at 11:30 a.m. July 21 at Regency Park Library, 9701 Little Road. The seminar features Aging with Dignity's "Five Wishes," America's most popular living will. Five Wishes is a 12-page document that covers personal, family, spiritual, medical and legal concerns and meets the legal requirements for living wills in 42 states, including Florida. Restaurant offers way to help cats

Sweet Tomatoes will host two "Fun-Raiser" dinners at 5 p.m. July 28 and Aug. 25 to raise money for The Little Cats' Rescue. The restaurant at 10156 U.S. 19 will donate 20 percent of its proceeds when diners present an invitation flier when they purchase their meal. Invitations can be downloaded at TheLittleCatsRescue.org or facebook.com/TheLittleCatsRescue. The rescue offers pet adoption services in Holiday, Hudson, New Port Richey, Odessa, Palm Harbor, and Trinity.

Missionaries plan worship service

Missionaries Dan and Brenda Hopkins, along with the youth of the Bataca Church of the Nazarene on the Caribbean island of Dominica, will host a "Dominica style" worship service at 7 p.m. July 21 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 235 Cobblestone Drive (near County Line Road). The service will include the Bataca praise team, the KTZ reggae band and the Divinity Dancers, as well as presentations from the missionaries. There is no charge, but a freewill offering will be taken. Call the church at (352) 683-0587.

Aglow ministry official to speak

Ruth Murphy, a woman who has ministered for more than 30 years in women's retreats, conferences, camp meetings and revivals, will speak at 10 a.m. July 30 at House Of Faith, 15227 U.S. 19. Murphy has been involved with Aglow International Ministries since 2002, and serves on the West Central Florida Aglow Area Board. Her presentation is at the Women's Delight ministry.
