'Gold Exchange' at hospital today

Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a "Gold Exchange" event from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the hospital's cafeteria, 1395 S Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs.

Bring in old, broken or unwanted yellow or white gold or gemstone jewelry for payment. Appraisers will be on hand to determine the items' worth and a separate jewelry sale will also be going on. Proceeds benefit the hospital. Call (727) 942-5072.

Group has housing for seniors available

Prospect Towers of Clearwater, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Senior Citizen Services of Clearwater, provides housing for seniors, ages 62 and older on limited income. The facility, 801 Chestnut St., Clearwater, offers efficiencies and one-bedroom apartments. For applications and information, call Felicita Rosado at (727) 447-5701.
