Help offered on living wills

NEW PORT RICHEY — In honor of National Health Care Decision Day, the Hook Law Group will offer free, fully witnessed statutory living wills from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hook Law Group office, 4918 Floramar Terrace. A living will, also called a health care advance directive, can eliminate unnecessary confusion, pain and suffering for a patient and his or her family members at the end of life. For information, call (727) 842-1001.

HPH Hospice also provides living will services. Download an advance directive at online or call 1-866-940-0962 to have a packet mailed. Trained HPH staff representatives are available to meet with people to guide them through the preparation of the advance directive at no charge. For information, call Jane Freeman at (727) 863-7971.
