Help 'stuff the bus with food' to help Pasco people in need

'Stuff the Bus:' The Pasco County Department of Transportation is inviting the community to "stuff the bus with food" to help people in need in Pasco County. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, a bus will be parked at the Publix market at Southgate Shopping Center, 5127 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Donations of nonperishable food are appreciated. To volunteer at the event, call (727) 815-0433.

Beanie Babie Drive: Gulfside Regional Hospice Thrift Shoppes are offering a discount to people who donate Beanie Babies during December. Donations are accepted at their Hudson, New Port Richey, Zephyrhills, Dade City and Lutz thrift shop locations. All of the stores are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and are closed on Sundays.

Volunteer orientations: Gulfside Regional Hospice is hosting volunteer orientations throughout the month of December. Participants will learn about the valuable role Gulfside Regional Hospice serves in our community and the various volunteer opportunities available to help care for patients and families during their most difficult times.

Volunteer opportunities are also available in their administrative offices and thrift shops.
