Learn how to listen at chamber course
The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce will offer a course, "Your Personal Listening Skills," from 8 a.m. to noon June 30 in the training room at the chamber, 15588 Aviation Loop Drive, south of Brooksville.
The course explores how one's preferred listening approach may not be appropriate for all situations, and participants will learn when and how to adopt another listening approach for successful communication. Three primary factors will be considered: purpose, motivation and behavioral indicators.
The workshop can be useful in a number of applications such as customer service, presentation skills, conflict resolution and team building. The instructor will be Lori Bainum, a corporate trainer.
The cost is $69 for chamber members, $79 for nonmembers.
Deadline to register is Monday. For information, call (352) 796-0697, ext. 228, or e-mail training@hernandochamber.com.
