AARP Hernando County East Chapter 1026: Social gathering, 2 to 4 p.m. July 19, Golden Corral, 940 S Broad St. Monthly meeting, 11:30 a.m. July 26, Hernando County Mining Association Enrichment Center, 800 John Gary Grubbs Blvd. The meeting will be hosted by the Grande assisted living facility. Brooksville Elks Lodge 2582: 14494 Cortez Blvd. Breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. The menu includes a variety of items, including French toast, eggs cooked any way, omelets, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea and juice. Hernando Computer Club: Sunbird Auction, 6 p.m. Monday. This is the club's big social event and fundraiser for the summer. Tickets are $12 ($7 covers the meal, and $5 will be for 20 chances). There will be about 100 items to win, including a flight over Hernando County in a small plane piloted by Coast Guard pilot David Lemon. Tickets must be purchased in advance at the club or on the website.
