Health department swine flu shots open to everyone

The Hernando County Health Department will conduct a swine flu vaccination clinic Sunday at Nature Coast Technical High School, 4057 California St. (Park and enter at the back entrance of the school.) Appointment times will be distributed at 11:30 a.m., with appointments scheduled between 1 to 5 p.m. There will be 600 injectable doses to be distributed first-come, first-served. Vaccinations are now open to anyone, including individuals ages 25 to 64 who do not have underlying medical conditions. For information, call (352) 540-6817.

Parents remember loss of a child at vigil

The Our Children Loved and Remembered candlelight vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Cabrini Center Classrooms 3 and 4, 5030 Mariner Blvd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The vigil is for parents who have suffered the loss of a child of any age, from any cause of death. Those attending are encouraged to bring a photo of the child they are remembering. For information, call Dorothy, (352) 684-1369.
