Elementary breakfast

Monday: French toast sticks with sausage, sausage and cheese twist sandwich, yogurt with granola, cereal, breakfast protein bar

Tuesday: ham and cheese breakfast pizza, egg and cheese breakfast slider, fruit and yogurt parfait, cereal, muffin with cheese stick

Wednesday: Southern-style breakfast, chicken twist sandwich, yogurt with granola, cereal, peanut butter and jelly bar

Thursday: apple cinnamon oatmeal, sausage and cheese breakfast slider, fruit and yogurt parfait, cereal, breakfast protein bar

Friday: breakfast scrambler, ham, egg and cheese twist sandwich, yogurt with granola, cereal, peanut butter and jelly bar

Elementary lunch

Monday: vegetable lasagna, Southern-style chicken bites, carrots, tropical fruit cocktail, Goldfish cheddar crackers

Tuesday: chicken chunk bowl, corn dog, green beans, apricot fruit cup, fruit juice, Presidents Day treat

Wednesday: teriyaki chicken with vegetable fried rice, cheeseburger, salad, broccoli, corn on the cob, apple slices

Thursday: soft tacos, crispy chicken sandwich, black beans, roasted vegetables, carrots with veggie dip, fruit juice

    When Hurricane Irma was forecast to pummel the Tampa Bay region, Tampa police Cpl. Whitney McCormick was ready for the worst — to lose her home and all of her possessions.

  5. Financially strapped Brooksville raises tax rate and fire fees

    BROOKSVILLE — After conducting an intensive examination of the city's financial position over the past couple of months, the Brooksville City Council has settled on its 2017-18 budget and a tax increase and fire fee increase to help pay for it.

    City Council member Joe Bernardini voted against the budget and the tax rate increase, saying it contained no employee raises and almost no capital expenses.
