HELPING FOLKS WITH HOMES IN NEED OF TLC

Volunteers, monetary donations and home nominations are being accepted for Paint Your Heart Out-Safety Harbor, scheduled for March 17. The program is designed to benefit people who are economically disadvantaged, elderly or disabled. Volunteer painters and landscapers register at 7:30 a.m. and receive paint day assignments at the First Baptist Church of Safety Harbor, 525 14th Ave. S. After a morning of painting, lunch is served at the church. To volunteer, call Kimm Armitage at the city of Safety Harbor, (727) 724-1572. Get hitched on Valentine's Day

Want to get married on Valentine's Day? The Dunedin Historical Society is hosting "Weddings to Go" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 14 at Andrews Memorial Chapel, 1899 San Mateo Drive in Dunedin. Each half-hour ceremony costs $50 and includes an officiant, notary, photographer and organist. Reservations are required. Call the Dunedin Historical Museum at (727) 736-1176 for information.

Need help with your taxes?

AARP Tax Aide volunteers will be available at the East Branch Library, 2251 Drew St., from noon to 4 p.m. Monday to assist older citizens or those on limited incomes with the preparation of their tax returns. The volunteers will return every Monday and Friday through mid April. The service is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. To get more information, please call (727) 562-4970.

Fun for the truly young at heart

Clearwater public libraries have several events planned for youth and teens to celebrate Valentine's Day. The events are free. For more information, call the library at (727) 562-4970. The lineup includes:

• Wednesday, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Countryside Library, 2741 State Road 580: Youngsters are invited to make Valentine's Day crafts.

• Saturday, 2-3:30 p.m., East Branch Library, 2251 Drew St.: Valentine's party for youth and teens. Activities include Valentine's Day crafts, cardmaking and poetry.

• Saturday, 2-3:30 p.m., Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave.: Children and their families are invited to create valentines, draw sidewalk chalk valentines, and enjoy treats.

Greek Festival has much to enjoy

The Tarpon Springs Greek Festival today is a family-style celebration with food, homemade pastries, specialty shops, live Greek music, children's activities and more. Free. It's 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral Community Center, 348 N Pinellas Ave.
