TAMPA — Sexual battery charges against a University of South Florida Upward Bound employee have been dropped. Herron Gaston was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old. Gaston, now 24, was charged with sexual battery by a person in a position of custodial authority. However, evidence showed the 17-year-old was not in Gaston's custodial care, so a judge dropped the charges.
