Martin Luther King Jr. Day closings

The following will be closed Monday, unless otherwise noted:


Federal, state and county offices: closed.


Federal, state and county courts: closed.

Buses and Streetcars

Buses: HART, HARTFlex and HARTplus will operate on a Saturday schedule.

TECO Line Streetcar System: from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.


International Plaza, WestShore Plaza, Westfield Citrus Park, Westfield Brandon and University Mall: regular operating hours.

Garbage Collection

The city of Tampa and Temple Terrace: no garbage or recycling pickup. Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department will operate on a normal Monday schedule.


Tampa Electric and People's Gas offices: open.

Post Offices, Mail Delivery

Post offices: closed; no mail delivery. The main office window will be open until midnight.




Hillsborough County public schools, Hillsborough Community College, University of Tampa, and University of South Florida: closed.


Banks: closed.

Attractions, Museums

The Tampa Museum of Art, the Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo and Glazer Children's Museum: open.


Recreation centers and playgrounds: closed.

Regional parks: open.
