Motorcyclist killed in Pasco County

PORT RICHEY — A 51-year-old man from South Holland, Ill., died Monday when he failed to negotiate a curve on his motorcycle and collided with a wooden fence, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 2:25 p.m. on Jasmine Boulevard, east of Notta Street, in Pasco County.

Highway Patrol officials say the man was thrown from the 1984 Honda motorcycle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet. Alcohol was not a factor, according to the FHP.
