Library History Roadshow: The Library History Roadshow will stop at the Brandon Regional Library, 619 Vonderburg Drive, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Library patrons can bring their Brandon Regional Library memories, photographs and memorabilia to share. Staff and volunteers will scan photos and other printed items that residents bring, and immediately return the originals to their owners. Senior Fun Fest: Seniors are invited to the 16th Annual Free Fun Fest and Crazy Legs Walk at 8 a.m. Sept. 21 at 502 E Sadie St. Participate in a fun walk, games and free health screenings. Food festival: The GFWC Brandon Junior Woman's Club will host its third annual International Food Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 at its historic clubhouse, 129 N Moon Ave. Sample foods from England, India, the Caribbean, Spain and the Hawaiian islands. Child fashion models needed: Models are needed for ECHO's 10th Annual Kids Helping Kids Fashion Show, which will be Oct. 6 at the Brandon campus of Hillsborough Community College. CARE seeks volunteers: The Critter Adoption Rescue Effort, or CARE, a nonprofit, all-volunteer no-kill dog and cat rescue and rehabilitation and adoption center at 1528 27th St. SE, needs volunteers. South Shore Orchestra: The South Shore Symphony Orchestra begins its fall-winter season this month with a tribute to 19th century composer Felix Mendelssohn. POW-MIA recognition: The Hillsborough County Veterans Council will conduct a POW-MIA Recognition Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. today at Veterans Memorial Park, 3602 U.S. 301, Tampa. Former prisoners of war will be featured guest speakers. The Men's Auxiliary, VFW Post 8108 and Marine Corps League Detachment 1226 from Riverview also will participate.
