Nominations being accepted for Chasco king, queen

NEW PORT RICHEY — The Chasco Coronation Ball, signature black tie fundraiser for the Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind, is accepting nominations for 2014 King Pithla & Queen Chasco. The event, which kicks off the annual Chasco Fiesta, includes dinner, entertainment, auctions and dancing. Proceeds from the ball help fund Lighthouse's Early Intervention Blind Babies Program and blind Children's Activities.

The king and queen are chosen for their dedication and commitment to the community. Local organizations are encouraged to submit names of deserving volunteers. The king and queen are chosen by independent judges who review each submission and statistically rate each nominee's contributions to the community. Nominations should be submitted on the nomination form found on www.lvib.org/ball and emailed to [email protected] All nominations must be received by Feb. 21.

Reservations and sponsorships are also being accepted for the event. For more information, contact Tina Shelton at [email protected], call (727) 439-0516, or visit www.lvib.org.
