Movie Mondays: Teens ages 13 to 18 can relax and watch a movie after school at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the North Tampa Branch Library, 8916 N Boulevard. Call (813) 273-3652.

Teen Anime and Manga Club: Join other enthusiasts screening and discussing the latest and greatest anime and manga releases at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, 2902 W Bearss Ave.

Crafty Teens: Discover Styrofoam block printmaking, and make pop art, cards, decorative envelopes and more at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Temple Terrace Public Library, 202 Bullard Parkway. All materials provided. Call (813) 506-6770.

• Donate gently used or new books through today for the McDonald Elementary book drive.

• Honor a veteran by buying a brick for the Veteran Memorial at the flagpole at the front of the school. Get a paver engraved with name, branch and years of service for $20.

• Ava's Heart Benefit is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday at Beef O'Brady's, 8568 Gunn Highway, to raise funds to help a teacher's 9-week-old daughter, who needs a heart transplant. Cost is $15 for a complete meal and drink, with $10 going to Ava's Heart Benefit.

• Get a family portrait taken at the Life Enrichment Center, 9704 N Boulevard, by professional photographer Frank Mondaruli through Dec. 11. Cost is $50 and includes two 8- by 10-inch photographs and six wallet-size photos. Cost is $5 for each additional photograph. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Life Enrichment Center, a private, nonprofit organization.
