ST. PETERSBURGMan shot in head survives to tell police of robberyA 31-year-old man said he was robbed and shot early Friday morning as he walked near 15th Avenue S and 22nd Street, according to St. Petersburg police. Sean Gordon Price was able to tell police all about it, even though a bullet struck him in the back of the head. Price flagged down an officer around 2:53 a.m. and said he was shot in the head and robbed of his cell phone, wallet and backpack. Police say he had an exit and entry wound in the back of his head. Price was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he told officers he would recognize his assailants and that he wanted them prosecuted. But so far police don't have a crime scene or any suspects. The shooting has "drug overtones," according to a police spokesman. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call (727) 893-7780.ST. PETERSBURGTeenager robbed, beaten, shot during home invasionA 17-year-old teenager told police he was pistol-whipped and then shot by two men who broke into his home Thursday night in the 2200 block of 21st Street S. The youth said he was playing video games in his room around 10 p.m. when he heard a loud bang in the rear of the house. He walked out of his room and saw two men entering his home through the back door. One man wielded a large revolver, the teen said. The teen said he tried to run for the front door, but one suspect grabbed him and they started fighting. The two suspects then rifled through the house, the teen said, looking for cash. The teen emptied his pockets. But as the suspects left, the teen chased them. That's when the armed suspect shot the teen in the left leg, police say.
