Senior menus/Meals on Wheels

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer nutritious meals and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to the homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in West Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in East Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in Central Pasco.

Monday: Chicken chop suey with rice, sesame green beans, gingered carrots, whole grain bread with margarine, pineapple chunks, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Salisbury steak with onion gravy, whipped potatoes, California vegetable blend, whole grain bread with margarine, sugar cookie, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Sliced turkey ham with raisin sauce, mashed sweet potatoes, green peas, whole wheat bread with margarine, diced peaches, low-fat milk.

Thursday: Vegetable barley soup, baked chicken quarter with Spanish sauce, yellow rice with tomatoes and peppers, mixed vegetables, whole grain bread with margarine, mixed fruit, low-fat milk.

Friday: Orange juice, turkey and cheese sandwich on whole grain bread, mayonnaise, fresh fruit, cookie, low-fat milk.
