Pasco County Elderly meals/Meals on Wheels menus

Pasco County operates seven congregate dining centers for adults ages 60 and older, funded in part by the Older Americans Act. There is no charge for the meals, but donations are encouraged. The county also delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program, also funded in part by the Older Americans Act, delivers meals at no charge, but donations are encouraged. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. For meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.

Monday: Oven baked fish filet with tartar sauce, cheesy grits, tomatoes and okra, whole grain wheat bread, mixed fruit, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Baked meatloaf with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, baby Brussels sprouts, white bread with margarine, pineapple chunks, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Grilled chicken breast patty with tomato pepper sauce, wild rice blend, broccoli cuts, white bread with margarine, fresh fruit, low-fat milk.

Thursday: Beef burgundy casserole with noodles, carrots, garden peas, tossed salad with Italian dressing, dinner roll, oatmeal raisin cookie, low-fat milk.

Friday: Barbecue pork riblet, Lyonnaise potatoes, mixed vegetables, hamburger bun with margarine, pears, low-fat milk.
