Pasco County school lunches

Elementary breakfast

Includes a choice of one main fare item, one fruit or 100 percent fruit juice and one milk choice.

Monday: Breakfast combo on roll, yogurt with or without graham crackers or cereal.

Tuesday: French toast sticks, ZacOmega bar or cereal.

Wednesday: Cheese omelet with biscuit, muffin loaf with cheese, hash brown or cereal.

Thursday: Breakfast pizza, yogurt with or without graham crackers or cereal.

Friday: Cinnamon pancakes, muffin loaf with cheese or cereal.

Elementary lunch

Includes choice of milk and choice of two vegetables or fruit. Varied daily are chilled fruit or fruit cup, frozen juice bar, fresh fruit, chilled juice.

Monday: Hamburger, cheeseburger, berry yogurt parfait.

Tuesday: Roaster chicken with deli roasters or macaroni and cheese.

Wednesday: Tacos or nachos or tuna or hummus lunch pack.

Thursday: Beef nuggets with potato smiles or turkey and cheese sandwich.

Friday: Whole grain pizza or peanut butter or yogurt dipper box.

Middle/high school breakfast

Includes choice of whole grain cereal with breakfast bread, fresh fruit, 100 percent fruit juice, choice of milk.

Monday: Waffles or twin muffins with potato triangle.

Tuesday: Breakfast combo or muffin loaf with cheese.

Wednesday: Breakfast burrito or scrambled eggs with Texas toast or yogurt with granola.

Thursday: Griddlecake sandwich or ultimate breakfast round.

Friday: Swirl breakfast roll or ZacOmega bar.

Middle school lunch

Includes choice of vegetables, fruit smoothie, juice bar, assorted fruits, chilled juice; choice of milk.

Monday: $2.50 menu: Chicken sandwich, chef salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. $3 menu: Hummus platter or beef teriyaki over rice with egg roll.

Tuesday: $2.50 menu: Lasagna rolls, chicken Caesar salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. $3 menu: Pizza round or twisted turkey sandwich.

Wednesday: $2.50 menu: Beef nuggets with mashed potatoes and roll or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. $3 menu: Pizza slice or tuna salad.

Thursday: $2.50 menu: Hot cafe sandwich, chicken Caesar salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. $3 menu: Calzone.

Friday: $2.50 menu: Chicken sandwich or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. $3 menu: Fiesta Friday or yogurt plate.

High school lunch

Includes choices of vegetables, fruit smoothie, juice bar, assorted fruits, chilled juice, choice of milk.

  5. Hernando budget for 2017-18 includes slight increase in tax rate

    BROOKSVILLE — The Hernando County Commission has given tentative approval to a $452.9 million budget, funded partially by a property tax rate that is slightly higher than last year.
