Pasco County school menus, Jan. 28-Feb. 1

Elementary breakfasts

Elementary breakfasts are called Sunrise Packs, and each features a main item that contains a combination of grains and/or protein, plus a choice of low-fat milk, and a choice of a fresh fruit or 100 percent fruit juice. Choices include the following:

Snack Pack: Snack-like choices including muffins, PopTarts and cereal bars.

'Moove' Pack: Yogurt with or without Elf Grahams.

Bowl Pack: A variety of whole-grain, reduced-sugar cereals with or without Elf Grahams.

Hot pack: Hot options like pancakes, breakfast pizza or sandwiches.

Elementary lunches

All elementary school lunches include an entree, a milk choice, a fruit choice, and a choice of any two vegetable options.

Monday: Roasted chicken with or without yellow rice; "Fiesta" pizza; or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are broccoli with dip, glazed carrots, orange smiles, applesauce, 100 percent fruit juice.

Tuesday: Beef teriyaki nuggets with or without roll; chicken taco salad with Goldfish; or muffin dipper box. Veggie/fruit choices are garden salad, potato smiles, fresh melon, mixed fruit cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Wednesday: Asian chicken with or without brown rice; "Backyard" burger sliders; or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are celery/tomato with dip, baked beans, apple slices, pearsauce, 100 percent fruit juice.

Thursday: Chicken patty sandwich; chicken Alfredo pasta; or peanut butter dipper box. Veggie/fruit choices are Caesar salad, steamed broccoli, seasonal fresh fruit, diced pears, 100 percent fruit juice.

Friday: Personal pizza (cheese or pepperoni); "Go Fish" basket; or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are carrots with dip, roasted red potatoes, red grapes, raisins, 100 percent fruit juice.

Middle and high school breakfasts

Secondary breakfasts are called Wake Up Packs, and each features a main item, plus a choice of low-fat milk, and a choice of a fresh fruit or 100 percent fruit juice. Choices include the following:

Hot'n Stacked Pack: A daily special from muffins, waffles, pancakes, French toast or other traditional breakfast favorites.

Lite'n Healthy Pack: A daily light special from yogurt fruit parfaits, low-fat yogurt cups or smoothies.

Grain'n Eat It Pack: A variety of whole-grain cereals are available.

Snack'n Go Pack: A snack-like choice.

Grab'n Go Pack: A hot breakfast sandwich or other meal students can eat "on the go."

Middle and high school lunches

All middle school lunches include an entree, a milk choice, a fruit choice, and a choice of any two vegetable options. All high school lunches include an entree, a milk choice, and a choice of any two vegetable options.

Middle school lunches

Monday: $2.50 menu: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or hummus combo. $3 menu: Grilled chicken Caesar salad; vegetarian entree salad; Sloppy Joe sandwich; or fresh baked pizza. Veggie/fruit choices are broccoli dipper, glazed carrots, orange smiles, applesauce cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Tuesday: $2.50 menu: Italian deli "flatz" or "just plain nutty" combo. $3 menu: antipasto salad; vegetarian entree salad; roasted chicken with or without roll; or barbecue pork sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are garden side salad, mashed potatoes, melon, mixed fruit cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Wednesday: $2.50 menu: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or "Moo Over" fruit parfait. $3 menu: Chicken salad bread bowl; vegetarian entree salad; "build ur own" burrito or rice bowl; or Philly queso sub. Veggie/fruit choices are celery/tomato dipper, pinto beans, fresh sliced apples, pearsauce, 100 percent fruit juice.

Thursday: $2.50 menu: Italian piccolo sub or "lean machine" combo. $3 menu: Chef salad; vegetarian entree salad; chicken sandwich (breaded or grilled); or mac and cheese with breadstick. Veggie/fruit choices are Caesar side salad, broccoli florets, seasonal fresh fruit, peach/strawberry cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Friday: $2.50 menu: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or French market combo. $3 menu: Buffalo chicken salad; vegetarian entree salad; fresh baked calzone; or fish sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are fresh baby carrots, Italian peas, grapes, raisins, 100 percent fruit juice.

High school lunches

Monday: $2.50 menu: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or hummus combo. $3 menu: Grilled chicken Caesar salad; vegetarian garden salad; fresh baked pizza; or pulled pork barbecue sandwich. Veggie/fruit choices are broccoli dipper, cross-cut sweet potato, orange smiles, applesauce cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Tuesday: $2.50 menu: Cafe sub or "just plain nutty" combo. $3 menu: Chef salad; vegetarian garden salad; chicken sandwich (breaded or grilled); or cheesy tomato soup with or without soft pretzel. Veggie/fruit choices are garden side salad, potato roasters, fresh melon, mixed fruit cup, 100 percent fruit juice.

Wednesday: $2.50 menu: Peanut butter and jelly sandwich or "Moo Over" fruit parfait. $3 menu: Buffalo chicken salad; vegetarian garden salad; "build ur own" burrito or rice bowl; cheesy garlic flatbread pizza; or turkey and cheese wrap. Veggie/fruit choices are celery/tomato dipper, pinto beans, fresh apple slices, pearsauce, 100 percent fruit juice.

Thursday: $2.50 menu: Italian mini piccolo sub or "lean machine" combo. $3 menu: Grilled chicken Caesar salad; vegetarian garden salad; "Backyard" burger/cheeseburger; or chicken Alfredo pasta with breadstick.
