Pasco operates eight congregate dining centers for adults 60 and older. The county also delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: the Elderly Nutrition Program delivers meals free, but donations encouraged; Meals on Wheels requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. Monday: Pork riblet with brown gravy, whipped sweet potatoes, green peas, white bread with margarine, cranberry orange relish, low fat milk.

Tuesday: Hot dog with mustard, baked beans, carrot coins, hot dog bun, applesauce, low fat milk.

Wednesday: Cream of broccoli soup, beef and macaroni, green beans, corn with diced red peppers, Italian bread with margarine, graham crackers, low fat milk.

Thursday: Chicken breast patty with coq au vin sauce, herb mashed potatoes, broccoli cuts, whole grain bread with margarine, cake and vanilla ice cream (cake and pudding for home deliveries), low fat milk.

Friday: Beef stew with vegetables in gravy, parsley white rice, Brussels sprouts, Italian bread with margarine, fresh fruit, low fat milk.

    MULBERRY — The local high school has an enrollment of 1,000 but to some it feels like a tight-knit family. Many of Mulberry High School's students have spent all of their school days within the city limits, said principal Michael Young.
