Pasco County senior meals, Sept. 17 to Sept. 21

Senior meals

Pasco County operates eight congregate dining centers for adults 60 and older, funded in part by the Older Americans Act. There is no charge for the meals, but donations are encouraged. The county also delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs. The Elderly Nutrition Program, also funded in part by the Older Americans Act, delivers meals at no charge, but donations are encouraged. And the Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. To get meal options or volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco, (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.

Monday: Chicken Parmesan, California blend vegetables, Italian flat beans, whole grain bread, pears, low fat milk.

Tuesday: Hot dog with mustard, baked beans with tomatoes, carrot coins, hot dog bun, pineapple, low fat milk.

Wednesday: Beef and macaroni with cheese, green beans, corn with red peppers, Italian bread with margarine, mixed fruit, low fat milk.

Thursday: Chicken breast patty with coq au vin sauce, herb mashed potatoes, broccoli cuts, whole grain bread with margarine, cake and ice cream (cake and pudding for home deliveries), low fat milk.

Friday: Salisbury steak with brown gravy, parslied rice, brussels sprouts, whole grain bread with margarine, peaches, low fat milk.
