Pasco County Elderly Nutrition/Meals on Wheels Program operates eight dining sites. Elderly Nutrition also delivers meals under two types of programs to the homes of the elderly and others. Home Delivered Meals provides food for those who are 60 or older, frail and home-bound, regardless of income. Meals on Wheels is a direct customer-billed meal service for anyone needing a home-delivered meal. There is a one-time $10 registration fee for one person, $15 for two; meals cost $6. Monday: Chunky barbecued chicken, Lyonnaise potatoes, buttered spinach, whole grain wheat bun with margarine, sugar cookie, low fat milk.
Tuesday: Macaroni and cheese with turkey ham, green peas, parsley carrots, whole grain bread with margarine, mandarin oranges, low fat milk.
Wednesday: Vegetable soup, lemon pepper baked chicken breast, potatoes au gratin, mixed vegetables, rye bread, cake and ice cream (cake and pudding for home deliveries), low fat milk.
Thursday: Three-bean beef chili, rice pilaf, yellow corn, wheat crackers, raisins, low fat milk.
Friday: Grape juice, turkey, turkey ham and cheese on whole grain bread, mayonnaise and mustard packets, coleslaw, citrus salad, low fat milk.
