WESLEY CHAPEL — Authorities are investigating the death of an elderly woman found in a backyard swimming pool Thursday afternoon.
It appears the woman drowned, said Pasco County Sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll. There is no evidence of foul play, he said, but the case remains under investigation. Authorities would not release the woman's name.
Deputies were called about 2:30 p.m. to the home at 6345 Sushi Court in Chapel Pines. A neighbor said efforts were made to revive the woman, but she was nonresponsive.
