HUDSON — Authorities have released the name of the man found dead in his home Tuesday night, and they have labeled the case a homicide.

David P. Cutshaw, 66, known to neighbors simply as Dave, was lying face down with a massive head wound, according to the neighbor who found him. Cutshaw was in the back yard of the home he rented at 10027 Oak Drive.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Cutshaw died of "homicidal violence" but declined to provide any details on the cause of death or possible motive, citing the ongoing investigation.
