FARM SHARE FOOD GIVEAWAY TAKES PLACE toDAY
The 20th annual Farm Share Holiday Food Giveaway will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at Faith Baptist Church, 9230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey.
The giveaway includes fresh food donated by Florida farmers, Publix, the Volunteer Way and other individuals and organizations.
The effort is sponsored by Tax Collector Mike Fasano, state Sen. John Legg, state Reps. Richard Corcoran and Amanda Murphy, and Sheriff Chris Nocco.
All needy families are welcome.

Group seeks toys, food and clothes donations
Donations of toys, clothing and food for children through age 17 are being sought by Youth and Family Alternatives.
The items will be given to the children it serves, who are abused or neglected, runaways, homeless or at risk of drug abuse or delinquency.
Donations may be dropped off at the agency's administrative office, 7524 Plathe Road, New Port Richey.

Hospice group offers paper doves for trees
Gulfside Hospice welcomes local residents to remember loved ones this holiday season at any of Gulfside Hospice's five Thrift Shoppe locations.
Receive two paper doves for a $5 donation — one for the decorated tree at the Thrift Shoppe and one to adorn your tree at home. Doves will be available, while supplies last, at all five Thrift Shoppe locations.

Suncoast Arts Fest seeking volunteers
Volunteers are being sought for the Suncoast Arts Fest, an annual art festival designed to promote the arts in the community.
This year's festival will be on Jan. 17-18 at the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel.
Volunteers may choose the shifts, days and positions, and efforts will be made to honor their preferences. Youths under the age of 18 require parental permission to volunteer; high school student volunteers will receive credit for community service hours.
