Church Pastor is accused of fondling girl

A Brooksville resident and area church pastor was arrested Wednesday, accused of touching a girl between the ages of 12 and 16 in a lewd and lascivious manner, a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report said. Jason Allen Roberts, 36, pastor of Christian Fellowship Church in Dade City, was charged with a felony, according to the report. Authorities interviewed the girl in January after she disclosed an incident to her boyfriend. During the interview, she said that in 2006 Roberts fondled her, authorities said. The report said Roberts admitted the act to his wife, to other family members and to members of his church, all of whom authorities interviewed. No one answered at the phone number listed for the church Wednesday.
