Midtown Through Our Eyes opening reception: On Friday, 43 student journalists from Melrose Elementary, John Hopkins Middle and Lakewood High schools will share their impressions of the St. Petersburg Midtown neighborhood through a 100-photo exhibit and magazine. Civil war re-enactment: The Hillsborough County's Veterans Memorial Park and Museum will commemorate the 1863 U.S. Navy raid on Confederates at the Hillsborough River and the Battle at Ballast Point.
