Ryman Roofing giving away one free roof; entry deadline is Dec. 19



Ryman Roofing, an affiliated company of Ryman Construction of Florida Inc., is holding its second annual giveaway of a free roof to a deserving member of the community. The giveaway is open to residents of Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. Homeowners may submit a brief story about why they (or someone else) deserve a new roof. Last year's winner was a retired New Port Richey couple who had severe health issues. Entries should include a property address, the owner name and contact information, and may be submitted via email to or by mailing to Ryman Roofing, Free Re-Roof, Attn.: Kelli Ryman Vernsey, 36413 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33541. Entries must be submitted by Dec. 19. A winner will be announced Dec. 25.


Democratic women to meet Dec. 10

The Democratic Women's Club of Pasco County will meet at 10 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Jasmine Lakes Civic Association, 7137 Jasmine Blvd. Party leaders will be on hand to install new officers, and there will be a roundtable discussion on the latest topics. Participants are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to donate to a local homeless shelter. Jonathan Snow, a Democrat running for the District 9 Congressional seat held by U.S. Rep.
