Commission to discuss hiring manager again
The Safety Harbor City Commission is scheduled to vote Monday on a three-year employment agreement with former city manager Matt Spoor that would return him to the manager post at an annual salary of $122,763. Spoor resigned in early January for a job with St. Petersburg but has asked for his old job back with the same contract provisions. The commission also will consider amending a city ordinance to allow a single mobile food vendor to set up on the property of any business that sells beer and wine but doesn't have a food-preparation kitchen. After 10 p.m., the vendor could operate for up to five hours to provide food to a bar's customers after most restaurants have closed. In addition, commissioners will discuss a revised master plan for Mullet Creek Nature Park and will receive an update on stormwater drainage. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall, 750 Main St.
