Saturday's Concert for Hope to raise money for cancer screenings


Cotee river festival and boat show offers blues food and alligators

The Cotee River Seafood/Blues Festival and Boat Show continues from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today in Sims Park. The event features an arts and crafts village, boat show, seafood and festival foods, alligator show, pontoon boat tours of the Cotee River and blues musicians from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a charge for some activities.


Children ages 3-5 can be a part of Pee Wee Olympics

Pasco Parks and Recreation will host a Pee Wee Olympics on Saturday for children ages 3 to 5. The noncompetitive event will feature Olympics-style games at the Land O'Lakes Recreation Complex, 3032 Collier Parkway. The event is free, but children need to registered by Wednesday. Concert to help raise funds for cancer screenings

Diva Hope Charities will host a Concert for Hope next weekend to raise money for cancer screenings for women. The concert, which begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Pavilion Concourse, 15325 Alric Pottberg Road (off State Road 52 near the Suncoast Parkway), will feature tribute bands playing the music of the Rolling Stones, Van Halen and KISS. Food and merchandise will be available. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. For information, visit
