Senior meals, March 25-29

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. Meals include low-fat milk. Monday: Chunky barbecue chicken, lyonnaise potatoes, California blend vegetables, whole-grain wheat bun, two margarines, sugar cookie, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Macaroni and cheese with turkey ham, green peas, parsley carrots, rye bread with margarine, peaches, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Birthday celebration: Cream of tomato soup, lemon pepper baked chicken breast, potatoes au gratin, mixed vegetables, rye bread with two margarines, low-fat milk and birthday cake with vanilla ice cream (vanilla pudding for home delivery).

Thursday: Three bean beef chili, parsley rice, yellow corn, wheat crackers, margarine cup, raisins, low-fat milk.

Friday: Good Friday: Breaded fish with tartar sauce, cheese grits, collard greens, whole-grain bread with margarine, fresh fruit, low-fat milk.
