Senior menus in Pasco County April 16-20

Pasco County operates eight congregate dining centers for adults 60 and older, funded in part by the Older Americans Act. There is no charge for the meals, but donations are encouraged. The county also delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: the Elderly Nutrition Program, also funded in part by the Older Americans Act, delivers meals at no charge, but donations are encouraged; the Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. To get meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.

Monday: Hot dog with mustard, baked beans with tomato, mixed vegetables, hot dog bun, mixed fruit, low fat milk.

Tuesday: Noodles romanoff with chicken, green beans, carrot coins, dinner roll with margarine, cake and vanilla ice cream (cake and pudding for home deliveries), low fat milk.

Wednesday: Sliced turkey ham with pineapple sauce, hot German potato salad, peas, rye bread with margarine, pears, low fat milk.

Thursday: Cream of broccoli soup, baked chicken thigh with coq au vin sauce, herb mashed potatoes, country vegetable medley, whole grain bread with margarine, oatmeal raisin cookie, low fat milk.

Friday: Flame broiled beef patty with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli cuts, whole grain bread with margarine, raisins, low fat milk.
