Senior menus, week of May 7-11

Pasco County operates eight congregate dining centers for adults 60 and older, funded in part by the Older Americans Act. There is no charge for the meals, but donations are encouraged. The county also delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: the Elderly Nutrition Program, also funded in part by the Older Americans Act, delivers meals at no charge, but donations are encouraged; the Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $6 fee per meal. To get meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in west Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in east Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in central Pasco.

Monday: Macaroni and cheese with turkey ham, green peas, parsleyed carrots, white bread, pears, low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Sloppy Joe, mixed vegetables, potatoes O'Brien, seeded hamburger bun with margarine, peaches, low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Orange pineapple juice, grilled chicken breast patty, tomato pepper sauce, penne pasta with garlic oil, Tuscan vegetables, whole grain bread with margarine, low-fat milk.

Thursday: Meatballs with sweet and sour sauce, coconut rice, broccoli cuts, whole grain bread with margarine, fruit salad, low- fat milk.

Friday: Pork chop patty with brown gravy, black eyed peas, dilled carrots, whole grain bread with margarine, special Mother's Day dessert, low-fat milk.
