Senior menus/Meals on Wheels: Dec. 14-18

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer nutritious meals and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. Meals include low-fat milk. For information on any of these meal options or to volunteer, call (727) 834-3340 in West Pasco; (352) 521-5174 in East Pasco; or (813) 929-1231 in Central Pasco.

Monday: Sliced turkey breast with turkey gravy, whipped sweet potatoes, garden peas, white bread with margarine, cranberry orange relish and low-fat milk.

Tuesday: Beef stew, white rice with parsely, lima beans, French bread with margarine, peaches and low-fat milk.

Wednesday: Minestrone soup, grilled chicken breast coq au vin, mashed potatoes with herbs, Harvard beets, whole grain wheat bread with margarine, chocolate chip cookie and low-fat milk.

Thursday: Beef tips in sauce, noodles with mushroom gravy, garden peas, whole grain wheat bread with margarine, fresh fruit and low-fat milk.

Friday: Frankfurter with mustard, baked beans, mixed vegetables, hot dog bun, pineapple chunks and low-fat milk.
