Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer nutritious meals and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of the elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. Meals include low-fat milk. Monday: Pork chop patty with brown gravy, black-eyed peas, country vegetable medley, corn bread square with margarine, peaches and low-fat milk.
Tuesday: Meatballs with tomato gravy, potatoes au gratin, broccoli, whole grain wheat bread with margarine, apple crisp and low-fat milk.
Wednesday: Fish wedge with tartar sauce, cheese grits, stewed tomatoes and okra, whole grain wheat hamburger bun with margarine, mixed fruit and low-fat milk.
Thursday: Three-bean beef chili, white rice, whole kernel corn, whole wheat bread with margarine, mixed fruit and low-fat milk.
Friday: Smoked sausage with mustard, potatoes O'Brien, cabbage and carrots, whole grain wheat bread with margarine, sugar cookie and low-fat milk.
