Host family needed: A host family in the Brandon High School area is needed to house a 17-year-old student for the 2012-13 school year. The boy, from Finland, is coming to Brandon through the Cultural Academic Student Exchange program. He will arrive in August and stay until May. The only expense to the host family will be room and board. The student will have his own spending money and full medical insurance. On Broadway: Plant City Entertainment presents The Best of Broadway today and Saturday at 8 p.m. and July 22 at 2 p.m. Led by director Domin Pazo, the show will feature excerpts and songs from a number of musicals, including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Oklahoma, Annie, Cats, Rent and The Sound of Music. The cast will include Matt Mello, Tania Enriquez, Maren Fernandez, Kristen Holloway, Mitchell Spencer, Bev Harboard and Sara Demolli.

Additional performances are at 8 p.m. July 26 to 28. All performances will be held at the Plant City Entertainment theater, 101 N Thomas St. Tickets cost $10 for members or group advance sales, $12 for senior citizens and K-12 students and $14 for nonmembers.
