Two Suspects are sought in armed robbery

Clearwater police have released a surveillance photo of an armed man who robbed a convenience store with another man on Friday. The two men went into a 7-Eleven at 20073 U.S. 19 N about 2:30 a.m., police said. One handed the clerk money to pay for a cigar, then pulled a handgun and demanded money from the register. The two men were given an undisclosed amount of money and fled. The photo released Tuesday shows a black man, believed to be between 18 and 25, armed with a bronze-colored revolver. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearwater Police Department at (727) 562-4422. Meet an author at library fundraiser

Andrew Huse, author of the Columbia Restaurant: Celebrating a Century of History, Culture and Cuisine, will be the featured author at the 17th annual "An Evening with the Author.'' The event, a fundraiser for the Clearwater Library Foundation, will start at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave. Using the Columbia Restaurant as a theme, the GFWC Clearwater Community Woman's Club will wine and dine guests with samplings of the Columbia's 1905 Salad, paella and sangria. Thespian Troupe to present comedy

East Lake High's Thespian Troupe 4356 and the Class Act Drama Club present Pillow Talk, a romantic comedy based on the popular 1960s film starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day, at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the school's theater at 1300 Silver Eagle Drive.
