Sibling class: Becoming a big brother or sister can be stressful and exciting. This class will address the challenges and joys for siblings, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. for kids age 6 to 10 and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for kids age 3 to 5. Sunday at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital pavilion, Fourth Floor Classrooms, 3001 W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Blvd. Parents welcome; at least one must accompany child. $10. Call (813) 443-3078.

Medication check: Bring a "brown bag" with your medications in it and speak with Memorial Hospital pharmacy staff about possible side effects, interactions or other related questions. 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday in at 2901 Swann Ave., Classroom 109-B. Animal Services Task Force: The county is seeking three residents to serve on the newly created Animal Services Task Force. All nominees must be registered voters. Terms are for six months. Applicants are required to submit a one-page letter of interest and complete a questionnaire by Wednesday. Forms are available at 440 Falkenburg Road, or by calling (813) 272-5826.

Call for vendors: The Museum of Science and Industry will hold the inaugural "Idea Faire" in November and needs business, groups, educational institutions, makers, innovators and clubs to showcase their ideas and products. Free to exhibitors, $50 for vendors. Applications available at mosi.org or by calling (813) 987-6030. The deadline is Aug. 31.

Buddy Baseball: A noncompetitive league in which young people age 8-22 with special needs are paired with a buddy is accepting online registration for its upcoming season. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers. Registration, online at buddybaseball.org, is open through Aug. 31. The season will have games on Saturdays from Sept. 29 to Nov. 10 at the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex softball fields. Buddies must be age 10-18. Registration fees are $30 for players with special needs, $15 for buddies and no charge for coaches. Scholarships are available. Boards need members: Hillsborough County commissioners seek residents to serve on several volunteer advisory boards and councils. Applications are due Sept. 13 and can be picked up at the County Center, 601 E Kennedy Blvd. Call (813) 272-5826.
