Sibling class: Becoming a big brother or sister can be stressful and exciting. Animal Services Task Force: The county is seeking three residents to serve on the newly created Animal Services Task Force. All nominees must be registered voters. Terms are for six months. Applicants are required to submit a one-page letter of interest and complete a questionnaire by Wednesday. Forms are available at 440 Falkenburg Road, or by calling (813) 272-5826.

Call for vendors: The Museum of Science and Industry will hold the inaugural "Idea Faire" in November and needs business, groups, educational institutions, makers, innovators and clubs to showcase their ideas and products. Buddy Baseball: A noncompetitive league in which young people age 8-22 with special needs are paired with a buddy is accepting online registration for its upcoming season. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers. Registration, online at buddybaseball.org, is open through Aug. 31. The season will have games on Saturdays from Sept. 29 to Nov. 10 at the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex softball fields. Buddies must be age 10-18. Registration fees are $30 for players with special needs, $15 for buddies and no charge for coaches. Scholarships are available.
