Thanksgiving meals planned for Pasco County

Several local groups will offer Thanksgiving meals to the public this year. The following events are all slated for Thursday:

Salvation Army dinner: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free traditional holiday meal. Center of Hope, 8040 Washington St., Port Richey, (727) 847-6321.

• Polish American dinner dance: Doors open 12:15 p.m. Dinner from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m. featuring traditional turkey dinner or baked ham steak. Music by Lenny from 2:30 to 5:15 p.m. Polish American Social Club, 7615 New Jersey Ave., Hudson. Cost: $12 members, $14 non-members. Reservations suggested by calling Josephine at (727) 862-1520.

VFW dinner: 3 p.m. traditional turkey dinner with dessert. VFW Post 10167, 4619 Bartelt Road in Holiday, (727) 938-5977. Reservations requested. Cost: $8 in advance, $10 day of dinner.

AMVETS dinner: 3 to 6 p.m. traditional turkey dinner. AMVETS Post 16, 9638 State Road 52, Hudson, (727) 868-7391. Cost: $7.
