Times CEO Paul Tash to address Tiger Bay Club event

Times' CEO is featured speaker at Tiger Bay event

The 2012 Suncoast Tiger Bay Club annual event and awards will be at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Petersburg Marriott Clearwater.

Paul Tash, chairman and CEO of Times Publishing Co., will be the featured speaker. He will present "Five Reasons Why Tampa Bay is the Center of the Political Universe."

The Marriott is at 12600 Roosevelt Blvd. Admission is $40 per person and will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Bird Walk Saturday at Boyd Hill Preserve

The St. Petersburg Audubon Society will present a Bird Walk at 8 a.m. Saturday at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S.

This event is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, a hat and water.

A Birder's Guide to Pinellas County (Florida) by Ron Smith will be available for sale ($25) before and after the bird walk.

Church event is for earthquake survivors

A Night of Hope & Unity for Haiti's 2010 earthquake survivors is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg.

The event will reflect on the loss and celebrate the survivors of the natural disaster.
