BRANDON — Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee and Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will attend the unveiling of the Trey Curry House at a Kid's Place today. The renaming will honor a $400,000 donation to Kids Charity of Tampa Bay by the Trey Curry Foundation. Preregistered parties will attend the event.

The Trey Curry Foundation was founded by the family of Trey Curry, who died in 2008. The foundation serves children in the community by providing financial support to local charities. Benefactors include Center Place in Brandon, local YMCAs and Hooked on Hope.

The foundation's recent donation to Kids Charity of Tampa Bay will help fund a house at A Kid's Place, a 60-bed residential care facility providing temporary shelter to abused, abandoned and neglected children removed from their homes by the courts. There are five houses on the property at 1715 Lithia Pinecrest Road in Brandon. The Trey Curry Foundation is the fifth group to sponsor a house.
