Turn in mercury for free ticket to Pasco County Fair


Looking for a free ticket to the Pasco County Fair? Just bring your mercury-based thermometer or thermostat to the Covanta Energy booth in the parking lot of the fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52, between 3 and 8 p.m. Friday.

Covanta will hand out a limited number of fair tickets and gift cards to participants as part of its Mercury Bounty program.

The first 48 guests to bring a mercury-based thermometer or thermostat will receive a free entry ticket per item turned in. In addition, the first 250 people will get a $5 gift card for each mercury-based thermometer or thermostat brought to Covanta's booth.
